How To Find The Missing Pages In Hogwarts Legacy: Jackdaw's Rest Quest Walkthrough

Jackdaw's Rest is one of the main story quests in Hogwarts Legacy. You will unlock this quest after learning Expelliarmus from Professor Heccat's Assignment 2. During this quest, you will follow the ghost of Jackdaw into the Forbidden Forest, where you'll find the entrance to a cave containing his remains. After navigating through the cave, you'll find the Missing Pages you've been searching for and a secret Map Chamber in Hogwarts Legacy. You'll also unlock the Talent system!

Upon activating the quest, you'll want to meet the ghost of Jackdaw at the edge of the Forbidden Forest. You can get to the waypoint faster by Fast Traveling using the Floo Flame system. After speaking to the spirit, you'll need to follow him through the forest to the East North Hogwarts Region Floo Flame location. Next, follow the path on your own until you reach a birdbath.

After interacting with the birdbath, you'll be ambushed by some of Ranrok's Goblins, which you'll need to fend off before proceeding into Jackdaw's Tomb. During your time in Tomb, it would be best to loot chests and kill enemies for some extra XP and Gold. Then, make your way through the Tomb until you reach a door protected by a magic seal. To unlock the door, you can do a Basic Cast on each of the three artifacts beside it; you'll need to be quick.

Afterward, a bridge will form, which you must cross until you reach a den of Thornback Spiders. Fend off these enemies using Incendio (this spell is the most effective). It's worth noting that there are many more enemies in Jackdaw's Tomb, so keep your eyes peeled and ready to fight at all times. After clearing the wave of spiders, you'll reach a levitating platform. Use Accio to draw it toward you, and then use Accio again on the platform opposite the opening to get across and continue further into the Tomb.

After continuing down to a small embankment, you'll encounter yet another wave of Thornback Spiders. Kill all the spiders and continue until you find yet another door protected by a magic seal. Again, use Basic Cast on the three artifacts (the third less-obvious artifact is on the left of the door) to conjure another bridge. Continue across the bridge until you reach another floating platform. Make your way directly to the other side, where you'll (yep, you guessed it) encounter two large Thornback Matriarchs and several more Thornback Spiders. Fight them off to continue.

After some time, you'll eventually reach a third door. Unlock it as mentioned before, and then cross the bridge, where you'll find Jackdaw's skeleton (and the Missing Pages) in the chamber. Upon retrieving the Missing Pages, you'll activate the Sentinels guarding the room. Again, fight them off and continue through the Ancient Magic passage that will appear.

Fortunately, you won't have to fight any more enemies, so you can finally relax. Once you reach the end of the flooded corridor, you'll enter the Map Chamber, where you'll speak to Percival Rackham and unlock Talents. You can learn more about Talents and the best Talents to unlock in our dedicated guide. The ex-Hogwarts professor will then explain that you should return to the Map Chamber with the ancient book, thus unlocking The Map Chamber quest in the game.

And that's everything you need to know about Jackdaw's Rest questline in Hogwarts Legacy. While you're here, check out our video deep-diving into the four houses in the game to uncover more about their common rooms, house ghosts, sigil, and more.
