Daniel Norris was selected in the second round (74th overall) of the 2011 MLB Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. The baseball pitcher was born Daniel David Norris on April 25, 1993, in Johnson City, Tennessee, he grew up with his two older sisters, Amanda Haywood and Melanie Norris. His parents are David Norris and Sandra Norris. The family has owned a bike shop in their hometown for more than eight decades. Although his family had no sports history, he played three sports in high school, including baseball, learning all about the courts by his senior year of high school. He graduated from Science Hill High School.
