Chiefs' Frank Clark suspended two games over gun charges

Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark has been suspended two games by the NFL for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

The suspension stems from Clark pleading no contest to a pair of misdemeanor charges for possession of a concealed firearm in a June 2021 incident.

Los Angeles police initially pulled over Clark for a vehicle code violation as he was driving his Lamborghini. Upon inspection, officers found a weapon sticking out of a duffle bag. The Chief was charged with felony possession of a concealed firearm.

Clark was also arrested on another gun charge in March of 2021.

Clark had a prior history before joining the Chiefs, including a domestic violence charge. When he arrived in Kansas City, both Clark and the team faced questions about his past.

“I’ve had to learn to be a better teammate, a better person and better man in general,” Clark said at the time. “You’ve got to own up to it and what you’ve done. I affected a lot of people.

Kansas City is currently on a bye week. Clark will miss the Weeks 9 and 10 games against the Tennessee Titans and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

He would be set to return for the Chiefs’ Week 11 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers in LA.
